What is download speed and upload speed?

Download speed is the rate that data is transferred from the internet to your computer. This speed gives you the ability to download movies, songs, or documents.

Upload speed is the rate that data is transferred from your computer to the internet. Upload speed is used for sending e-mails, video chatting, or sending data files. Both download speed and upload speed are measured in megabits (Mbps) per second.
