Calling all young Picassos in the area! Clay County Electric wants you to get creative and design our 2026 Christmas card. We’re looking for elementary students from kindergarten to fifth grade to bring their artistic magic to the table. This card will spread holiday cheer to friends, legislators and businesses all over. If your design is chosen, your artwork will be the star of this year’s Christmas card. Plus, you’ll snag a certificate of achievement and a $50 gift card. Your winning design will also shine on our website, Facebook page and in Arkansas Living magazine. Talk about a spotlight moment! Ready to show off your artistic skills? Clay County Electric Cooperative Christmas Card Design Contest Rules:
1. All students from kindergarten through fifth grade are eligible to participate.
2. Students must attend a private, public or home school in the counties of Clay; Greene; Randolph; Butler, Missouri; Ripley, Missouri; or Oregon, Missouri.
3. Any medium or combination of medium may be used including: pencil, crayon, watercolor, oil, acrylic paint, pastel, chalk, etc. Do not use glitter, please!
4. Submissions should be on 8 1/2” x 11” in size in a horizontal (landscape) format.
5. One entry per student. A signed entry form is required.
6. Artwork must be an original creation. Submissions can be in color or in black and white.
7. The artwork must include elements such as a bucket truck, power lines, a lineworker, Willie Wirehand or similar representations of the electric industry.
8. Greetings may also be included with cover designs, but CCECC maintains the right to select the final greeting.
9. Each entry must clearly indicate the student’s name, age, grade, teacher and school on the reverse side of the artwork.
10. The winning student’s name will appear on the card.
11. The deadline for entries is Oct. 31.
